group Running sessions suitable for all abilities

I currently lead the following group sessions:

  • Interval training for all abilities - Mondays 7pm @ Longmead Sports Ground, Tonbridge

  • Fuggles Social 5k (followed by a free half pint!) 2nd Wednesday of the month 7pm @ Fuggles Beer Cafe, Tonbridge

Unlike most social running groups, we don't do a continuous steady run. Instead, we complete varied interval sessions each week involving running for a set time or distance (or hill!) with recovery breaks.

This means that you get your heart rate a little higher than you might normally on a run, but no-one gets left behind and you can recover for as long as you need to.  Think of it like a HIIT session!

Essential high-vis for dark winter nights!

The group offers something a bit different to runners who want to improve their running but don’t necessarily want to train within a club environment where they may feel intimidated or under pressure.

I want runners of all abilities to realise that getting a little bit out of their comfort zone can bring huge benefits to both their physical fitness but also their sense of wellbeing.

Completing 400m intervals certainly leaves you with a sense of accomplishment (and a burning set of lungs)!
