Completing sessions on your own can be tough. Having someone to guide and push you will give your workouts the extra edge.


One-to-one Coaching

What you want out of the session is entirely up to you. You will have support by your side to encourage you, help pace correctly and guide you through the session. I keep a record of your split times in order to give you detailed feedback after the session. I offer guidance on technique and running form, helping you to become more aware of how you move, and support you to become stronger and more efficient.

An hour session will typically include a 15 minute warm up (including drills), a 30-40 minute running session, and 10 minutes warm down and stretch. If necessary, I may request that you arrive having already warmed up so we have more time for the main session, or specific technical aspects.

After the session I will email any information, such as lap split times, photos and videos of your technique or recommended strength exercises.

I will assess your running form and identify areas of improvement if requested in order for you to run more efficiently. I don’t believe in making huge adjustments to running technique unless necessary to prevent injury, but may recommend strengthening and mobility exercises.

I want to avoid ‘analysis paralysis’ - overthinking or analysing to the point of causing anxiety, or disheartening or demotivating athletes. I prefer to encourage runners to become aware of their movements and play a role in deciding if they want to develop an area to improve technique.

If requested I will complete assessments of other components of fitness and will identify areas for development such as agility, balance, co-ordination, strength and flexibility all of which are vital to achieving your optimal ability to run.
